First Pick of Properties at Touros Village Beach Resort

It seems that as airline travel gets cheaper and as ordinary as making a cup of tea, many of us are throwing our carbon consciences aside and indulging in some serious air miles.  Recent reports from Halifax Travel Insurance say that 3.7 million Brits flew over 5.5 billion air miles for long haul mini breaks over the last twelve months and a whopping 4.9 million have one scheduled for 2008.  Demand for so-called ‘breakneck breaks’ has soared by 35% in just 12 months.  The statistics set parameters of a flight lasting over seven hours in length to enjoy a holiday of less than one week, clearly our tolerance levels of plastic food and fractious children are improving.

Whether using up holiday entitlement, joining an exotic stag do or simply desperate for some Vitamin D from the sunshine, Brazil emerges as a strong contender for a breakneck break. 

With the northeastern portion of the country under nine hours flying time from the UK and offering the ideal climate, 28 degrees all year, not to mention white sands as far as the eye can see and warm hospitable nationals, it’s little wonder that tourist arrivals are soaring.  What’s more, 96% of tourists visiting Brazil definitely intend to come back again, many of them to snap up a low-priced high-quality holiday home.

Although details are yet to be confirmed as due diligence is taking place, Touros Village Beach Resort comprises 277 units of uniquely styled apartments, bungalows and villas set in lush tropical gardens arranged around refreshing swimming pools.  A little over 80km north of the city of Natal, Touros is becoming the focal point for a thoughtfully-planned and environmentally-sensitive investment programme and golf courses, marinas and various retail and leisure facilities are in the pipeline to reinforce investment potential.  This hotspot is around one hour from the new São Gonçalo do Amarante Airport, the biggest airport in South America and the eighth biggest in the world, which expects to open its doors in 2009. 

Although yet to be finalised, prices should start from 75,000 euros for spacious one bedroom apartments and 110,000 euros for two bedrooms.  Semi detached bungalows are expected to start from 125,000 euros and private villas complete with swimming pools from 195,000 euros.
